Reprocessing / Commission Finishing
As a fully vertical operation, Simplex Knitting can support every stage of production - from knitting, dyeing, stentering, continuous fabric dry cleaning, fabric inspection to quality control testing - all within our in‑house facility.
We offer a complete end‑to‑end service, or you can select only the processes you require. Our small but highly experienced team is always available to advise on the best approach to achieve your desired results.
Solvent Scouring Range (Industrial Dry Cleaning)
Using our Sperotto Remar machine, we can chemically clean fabrics to remove most oils and stains, both before and after dyeing.
Dyeing
Simplex Knitting offers both Jet and Beam dyeing options, accommodating dye lots from 50m up to 1600m and multiples thereof. Our facility includes six bulk and two sample Jet dye machines, along with two Beam dye machines.
We are proud that our fabrics meet the Oeko‑Tex Standard 100, an independent global certification ensuring products are free from harmful chemicals and meet strict testing requirements.
Stenter
Our state‑of‑the‑art Monforts stenter machine can pre‑set and post‑set a wide range of fabrics. Each of its four bays can be individually controlled at temperatures up to 200°C. Our highly skilled team can follow your exact specifications or recommend the best settings to achieve your desired outcome.
Inspection
Simplex Knitting operates three C‑Tex inspection machines, inspecting fabrics to the customers standards. We can identify and report a wide range of faults according to your criteria and advise on any necessary remedial work. Our inspection machines can also re‑roll fabric that has been damaged during storage or transit.
QC Testing Laboratory
We offer a comprehensive range of fabric tests, including:
- Colour fastness (washing, cold water, perspiration, rubbing)
- Warp and weft stretch on Fryma for rigid fabrics or housfield for elastane fabrics.
- Fabric weight.
- Shrinkage and dimensional stability.
Dyeing Laboratory
Our advanced dyeing laboratory can develop dye recipes to match customer colour standards or Pantone references. These recipes can be supplied directly to clients or used in our own dyeing facility.
We use the latest infrared sample dye machines and a state‑of‑the‑art spectrophotometer to ensure exceptional shade accuracy. A full range of light cabinets - including the latest LED technology - is available for shade comparison and approval.
